The GCSAA Foundation has received a $50,000 grant from The Toro Company Foundation to support the Rounds 4 Research program in 2026. The contribution continues Toro’s long-term involvement with the initiative and brings the company’s total support of the program to $700,000 over the past 14 years.

Rounds 4 Research was created to help address funding shortages for turfgrass research by auctioning donated rounds of golf through an online platform. GCSAA chapters and turfgrass foundations participate as fundraising partners and can direct proceeds toward research projects with local or regional relevance.

Since launching in 2012, the program has generated nearly $5 million in research funding. The initiative is administered by the GCSAA Foundation and presented in partnership with The Toro Company. The 2026 Rounds 4 Research auction is scheduled for April 20 through April 26, 2026.

The Toro Company has been a partner of the Foundation since 1987 and has contributed nearly $2.8 million to support turfgrass research, education, and scholarship programs. The company serves as the exclusive presenting partner of Rounds 4 Research and is recognized as a Victory Club member of the Foundation’s cumulative giving program, as well as a Platinum Partner of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
